EAST AFRICA Four BBC Worldwide channels for DStv[Issa Sikiti da Silva] BBC Worldwide Channels, in partnership with MultiChoice Africa, has said that it will launch four new channels - BBC Entertainment, BBC Lifestyle, BBC Knowledge and BBC CBeebies - from 1 September 2008 on the DStv platform to replace and build upon the success of its existing channels, BBC Prime and BBC Food. NAIROBI: East African Breweries (EAB), through its flagship brand Tusker Lager, is continuing its sponsorship of the Tusker Project Fame reality show that's now in its third year running with an investment of approximately Kshs200 million. Auditions for the musical talent reality show launched concurrently this past weekend in Kenya Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. 
Sports TV Uganda Limited is a privately owned television station, broadcasting sports programs from around the world, as a part of Setanta Africa Sports Network. The station is set to broadcast 24/7 and is free to air. 
LONDON: GTV is set to expand its footprint into Francophone Africa in early August providing channels and content specifically targeted at French-speaking viewers.
