The team consists of six individuals who travelled from Gansbaai to Gabon, with Johan Badenhorst leading the team, as they travel from Casablanca to the Cape with three 4x4's. WEST AFRICA Four BBC Worldwide channels for DStv[Issa Sikiti da Silva] BBC Worldwide Channels, in partnership with MultiChoice Africa, has said that it will launch four new channels - BBC Entertainment, BBC Lifestyle, BBC Knowledge and BBC CBeebies - from 1 September 2008 on the DStv platform to replace and build upon the success of its existing channels, BBC Prime and BBC Food. CNBC US anchor, Erin Burnett, will be broadcasting her worldwide programmes from the West African business hub in Lagos, on Thursday, 21 May 2009 between 1pm and 4pm CAT. Burnett is anchor of "Street Signs" and co-anchor of "Squawk on the Street" on CNBC. 
LAGOS: Advertisers and their media agencies recently attended a presentation by John Simpson, CBE and BBC's World Affairs editor, at a lunch presentation organised by BBC World News and DStv Ad Sales. The event, which took place on 25 February, 2009 in Lagos, was hosted by Sean O' Hara, BBC World News executive director, and Katie Waxman, BBC World News senior account manager. 
An unusually large number of susbcribers besieged the Abuja office of Multichoice yesterday to get connected or reconnected to the network cable. 
Abuja: Senate has directed the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to censor or ban outright the Big Brother Africa Reality programme brought into Nigerian homes via the Digital Satellite Television (DSTV) owned by Multichoice if the contents contradict socio-cultural values of the Nigerian people. 
"Inside Africa" on CNN International will be hosted on July 26, by Nkepile Mabuse who comes from Ghana, West Africa. The programme features special coverage of the CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards, which took place on Saturday 19 July in Accra, plus there's an analysis and focus on where Ghana stands today, 50 years after independence.
